Brooklyn, NY § Primary client engineer for design of largest state-of-the-art advanced biodiesel production facilities in North America, with a capacity of 110 million gallons per year. § Through 4 year project period, tested various formulas to create final biodiesel formulation, pilot plant data analysis, maintained client relationship, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), product flow diagrams (PFD), equipment specifications and sizing, facilitation of RFQ/RFP/RFI, equipment design and pipe layout, project scheduling, project estimations and emergency vent sizing. § Secured approvals from NYC Fire Department, NYC Department of Buildings, and NYC Department of Environmental Protection. § As a result of this first biodiesel plant, NYC was able to save the fuel costs associated with its entire fleet of ferries driving 3 hours to Connecticut for refueling, and utilizing 40% renewable energy.
Peoria, IL § Primary client engineer for relocation of Corn Product’s sorbitol plant from Newark, Delaware to Peoria, Illinois with international shipments to South Korea, Mexico, and Canada. § While on customer site for 4 months, responsible for overall project management including disassembly of plant, domestic and international shipments, equipment list, line lists, instrument lists, and tie-in lists. § Designed new plant facility in Peoria.
