1. Introduction

1.1. Big Lab LLC (DBA Women's Job List), located at 200 S Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33131 ("we" or "us"), is committed to protecting the privacy of users of https://womensjoblist.com/ (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

1.2 By using the Site, you consent to our collection, use, retention, and sharing of information as described here. Certain privacy rights apply regardless of consent under state law, and we honor those rights as required.

1.3. We may update this Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will post the update on the Site at least 7 days before it becomes effective. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.

2. What we collect

2.1. We collect personal data and user content you provide or that we obtain automatically or from third parties. Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:

  • Identifiers - name, alias, username, email address, mailing address, phone or mobile number, device identifiers, IP address.
  • Professional and employment data - resume or CV content, job history, education, skills, certifications, job search preferences, applications, interview status, and similar information.
  • Demographics - age range, gender if you choose to provide it, and similar details. We do not require you to provide sensitive categories and ask that you avoid including them in your resume or messages.
  • Internet or network activity - access dates and times, pages viewed, referring and exit pages, clickstream data, browser and device type and version, operating system, cookies and similar technologies, approximate location derived from IP address, and session metrics.
  • Inferences - profile and preference insights we infer from the information above to help recommend jobs and content.
  • User content - posts or messages you submit to blogs, groups, communities, or similar features on the Site.
  • Sensitive personal information - we generally do not need or want sensitive data such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, union membership, health or biometric data. If you include sensitive information in your resume or messages, you do so voluntarily. California users have additional rights to limit the use of sensitive personal information as described below.

22.2. We may also collect, use, and share aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you. Where we de-identify data, we commit not to try to reidentify it except as permitted by law.

3. How we collect information

3.1. You provide information directly when you create an account, complete a profile, upload a resume, search or apply for jobs, participate in surveys or promotions, post in community features, contact us, or interact with Site features.

3.2. We automatically collect information through cookies, pixels, SDKs, log files, web beacons, and similar tools when you visit the Site or interact with our emails.

3.3. We may receive information about you from third parties, including:

  • co-registration partners and other job sites where you request opportunities from Women's Job list,
  • employers and recruiters,
  • analytics and advertising partners,
  • data enrichment providers and data brokers where permitted by law.

3.4. Our use of your data is governed by this Policy. Third parties that collect or receive data about you have their own policies and practices. We do not control how they handle your data, and you should review their privacy notices.

4. How we use information

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • Provide and improve the Site and services - create and manage accounts, host and display resumes, enable searches and job applications, allow employers and recruiters to review and respond to your applications, run applicant tracking integrations you request, troubleshoot and secure the Site, and analyse usage.
  • Recommend jobs and content - personalise search results, recommendations, alerts, and communications based on your profile, activity, and preferences.
  • Communicate with you - send account notices, service updates, job alerts you request, and marketing consistent with your choices and applicable law.
  • Facilitate employer and recruiter interactions - share your applications and profile with employers, recruiters, and applicant tracking systems when you apply or ask us to do so.
  • Advertising and measurement - serve and measure ads on the Site and on other services, including cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by applicable law.
  • Research and development - conduct internal analytics, quality assurance, and service improvements.
  • Compliance and protection - comply with legal obligations, enforce terms, detect and prevent fraud, security incidents, and misuse, and respond to valid law enforcement requests.

We may use automated tools to help match candidates to roles, de-duplicate profiles, rank search results, or flag spam or fraud. These tools supplement human decision-making and do not by themselves make final employment decisions. You can contact us to learn more about our use of automated tools.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

5.1. We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep you signed in and remember preferences,
  • understand how the Site is used,
  • personalise content,
  • measure and improve performance,
  • deliver and measure advertising on our services and on other sites and apps.

5.2. You can manage certain cookies through your browser settings and through our cookie preferences tool if available on the Site. You can also visit https://www.aboutads.info/choices and https://optout.networkadvertising.org/ to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies. These choices are browser and device specific.

5.3. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal for California opt-out of sale or sharing and we honor Colorado and other recognized universal opt-out mechanisms where required by law.

6. When we disclose information

6.1. We disclose personal data to:

  • employers, recruiters, and other job boards when you apply, share your resume, or request co-registration,
  • applicant tracking systems when you ask us to submit your application or profile to an employer,
  • marketing and email partners to send additional job or career opportunities if you opt in or as allowed by law,
  • service providers that host, maintain, secure, analyze, support, and improve our services,
  • analytics, measurement, and advertising partners to support ad delivery and measurement,
  • affiliates and corporate successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer,
  • law enforcement or regulators when legally required or to protect rights and safety.

6.2. California notice - sale and sharing. As those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, some of our disclosures to analytics, advertising, and certain marketing partners constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out of sale or sharing as described in Section 17. We do not sell or share personal information about users we know are under 16.

6.3. Other state laws. Several U.S. state privacy laws grant you a right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. See Section 8 for how to exercise these rights.

6.4. Once data is disclosed to a third party, its use is governed by that party's privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party practices, and you may need to contact them directly to exercise your rights with those parties.

7. Your choices

  • Job alerts and notifications - manage preferences in your account.
  • Cookies and tracking - manage through browser settings, our cookie tool if available, AboutAds and NAI tools, and GPC or other universal opt-out mechanisms as noted.
  • Public content - information you post in communities or your public profile may be visible to others. Do not post sensitive information.

8. Your privacy rights by state

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights, subject to exceptions:

  • Right to know or confirm - request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients.

Verification and appeals:

  • We will verify your request by matching information you provide with information we maintain. If we cannot verify your request, we may ask for additional details or decline the request.
  • You may authorize an agent to submit requests on your behalf, subject to verification and proof of authorization.
  • Residents of states with an appeal right may appeal a denial by replying to our decision email with "Appeal" in the subject line or by emailing [email protected]. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

Response times:

  • We aim to respond within the timelines required by law, typically 45 days, with an extension if reasonably necessary and permitted.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • while your account is active,
  • as needed to provide services you request,
  • to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or audit obligations,
  • to resolve disputes and enforce agreements,
  • for security and fraud prevention.

We use criteria such as account activity, the nature of the data, legal requirements, and technical constraints to determine retention periods. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information for longer.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access and misuse. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Site and transmit information at your own risk.

11. Children and teens

The Site is intended for individuals 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it as required by law. California residents under 16 have additional protections as described in Section 8. If you believe we may have information about a child, contact [email protected].

12. International users and transfers

We are based in the United States and the Site is intended for use in the U.S. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data protection laws.

13. External links, partner postings, and cautionary guidance

13.1. The Site includes links and job postings from third parties. Those sites have their own privacy and security practices that we do not control. Contact those operators directly for information about their policies.

13.2. We aggregate and display job information provided by employers, recruiters, and third-party partners. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legality of third-party postings. Use caution when sharing personal information. Do not provide your Social Security Number, bank or credit card details, or other sensitive data to prospective employers during early recruiting stages. Be wary of roles that require you to receive or forward funds or that seem too good to be true, especially from overseas contacts.

14. Law enforcement and legal compliance

We may access, preserve, and disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with law or legal process, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, enforce our terms, protect the rights, property, or safety of users or others, or detect and prevent security, fraud, or technical issues.

15. Managing and correcting your information

15.1. You can access, update, or correct certain account information and preferences by logging into your account.

15.2. You may request that we correct inaccuracies or delete your account by contacting [email protected]. After you delete your account, we will stop using your registration information, but we may retain certain data as permitted or required by law.

15.3. Requests to correct or delete information held by third parties that received your data should be directed to those parties. We cannot ensure deletion by third parties.

16. Notice at collection - categories, purposes, and disclosure

We collect the categories listed in Section 2 for the purposes listed in Section 4. We disclose those categories to the recipients listed in Section 6. We may "sell" or "share" personal information for analytics, marketing, and cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by California law. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by California law without offering a right to limit such use.

17. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information - targeted advertising opt-outs

17.1. California residents - you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Use the "Your Privacy Choices" or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on the Site if available, enable a supported opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, or contact us at [email protected]. We will treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for the browser and device sending the signal.

17.2. Other states - residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Utah, Montana, Indiana, Tennessee, Iowa, and other states with applicable laws may opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling. Use the same methods described above. We honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms where required.

17.3. Advertising partners - our partners may set or read cookies or identifiers and may link hashed identifiers to other data for ad delivery, analytics, attribution, and reporting across channels. To learn more about interest-based advertising and opt-out options, visit https://www.aboutads.info/choices and https://optout.networkadvertising.org/. To opt out with LiveRamp, visit https://liveramp.com/opt-out/.

18. TCPA and messaging consent

If you provide your mobile number, you consent to receive autodialed or prerecorded job alerts and marketing messages where permitted. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the Site. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. You may also contact [email protected] to adjust your preferences.

19. Non-discrimination

We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality of services because you exercise your privacy rights, except as permitted by law for bona fide loyalty, rewards, or similar programs. We currently do not offer financial incentives tied to your personal information.

20. Data sources

We collect data directly from you, automatically from your device and interactions with the Site, from employers and recruiters, from co-registration and marketing partners, from analytics and advertising partners, and from data brokers where permitted.

21. Contact us

For questions, requests, or complaints about this Policy or our privacy practices, contact [email protected]

22. Changes to this Policy
