As an Administrative Associate for the MCDA my responsibilities have increased steadily throughout my employment. I currently supervise three employees in payroll and accounts payable. I provide employees with information regarding County Regulations and policies, pay rates, absence leaves, SDI reimbursements, tuition reimbursement and various other HR issues. I complete and process a wide variety of fiscal, statistical and accounting tasks. My duties include but are not limited to: Preparing Departmental statistical reports, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, distributions for trust accounts, journals, payroll processing, data analysis, paralegal duties for Asset Forfeiture cases, and State/Federal reporting. |

Started as a field study intern, hired upon completion of study. Research assistant for large class-action Personal Injury lawsuit. Using analytical and statistical analysis, I was able to help close many of the cases that had been in litigation for fifteen years. Research included, translating medical records, calculating damages, investigation of client’s whereabouts and circumstances. Drafted correspondence for clients and other parties involved. Maintained database of client case history. Served as a legal assistant for other personal injury cases. Helped with intake of clientele. Telephone intake interviews, and in person interviewing. Established a method to calculate lost wages in Excel. Court running. |

Sous Chef (kitchen manager) opened a high volume, fine dining restaurant in Larkspur, Ca. Responsible for of a team of line and prep cooks and wait staff (20-30 employees). Duties included, inventory, purchasing and receiving of goods and services, maintaining accurate employee records: hiring packets, termination records, labor/food cost management. Maintained food costs at 17-20%. Responsible for quality food and service control and accuracy in an intensive high stress environment. |

Started as line cook, promoted within 4 months to Sous Chef (kitchen manager). I was responsible for 15 lead line cooks and prep-cook staff. Duties included, maintaining accurate inventory, purchasing and receiving of goods and services. Responsible for labor costs and management. Reduced food costs by 15% annually, tracked food costs and labor costs using Excel and profit and loss statements. Responsible for quality control and accuracy in an intensive high stress environment. |
