Commercial telecommunications provider primarily to fortune 100, 500 and 1000 corporations in the oil and gas sector, manufacturing, on/offshore drilling platforms. Offers satellite, microwave, LTE, wireless and terrestrial communications to resellers and agents.

Sales/Design Engineer: Positioned as 3rd Engineer hired in the department within one year, immediately set the precedence for the Engineering department by improving RFP/RFQ and design timely project completion record from 75% to 100% within 3 months. It is important to note that I had zero satellite and microwave technology experience upon offer of this position. Subject matter expert (SME) for retail, Commercial, and Government Sales Account Managers, as well as Dealer Agent channels daily with pre and post satellite, microwave and telecommunications technology support.

 

  • Generated Link budgets and path profile analysis for satellite, microwave and WiMax networks. Upon review of each client RFQ/RFP, analyzed link budgets and path profiles for optimal VSAT and microwave network performance.

 

  • Administered all pre-engineering designs required for provisioning and installation of end-to-end satellite, microwave and terrestrial communications. Successfully completed with accuracy on the average 50 to 70 engineering designs monthly which represented over $25 million in potential revenue.

 

  • Supervised the Engineering team on proper responses to proposals/bids for numerous RFP/RFQ with 2 to 3 months+ project timeline simultaneously and within budgetary restrictions. Included collaboration with Engineers and Project Managers regarding design parameters for client projects. Prepared financial documentation for presentation to executives.

 

  • Developed a part library by converting legacy drawings into AutoCad files and utilized FTP technology to transfer these large files to various resources. Lead technical writer for engineering department which led to publication of several technical white paper on company intranet.

 

  • Created detailed technical drawings of structural designs according to specifications for VSAT, Microwave and Terrestrial network projects for presentation to CEO/CTO and customers.

Sales Engineer - Intermedia Communications (Nov 1998 to April 2000): Hired as junior Sales Engineer from College based on top 1% graduation class. Worked up the ranks to Sales Engineer within 6 months. Generated and responded to RFP/RFQ for retail, carrier and agent channels. Project managed complex voice and data designs.
