Academic Projects
Design and analysis of chassis for SAE Baja race: Aug ’13 – Dec ‘13
? A model of chassis is built in Solidworks and imported into Ansys for further analysis.
? The vehicles crashworthiness is evaluated in three distinct modes: Frontal, Side and Rear.
Comparison and analysis of welded and bolted joints for a control room panel: May ’12 – July ‘12
? Designed and developed a control room panel with a bolted joint and welded joint.
? Comparison of welded joints and bolted joints is done by analyzing it using Ansys.
Optimization of Engine bracket: Jan ’15 – May ‘15
? Engine bracket is designed in solid works, keeping in mind to reduce the overall weight.
? Analysis is carried out using Ansys to find out the overall stress distributed and yielding points.
? Thus obtained results were used to develop Matlab code and using Isight the optimized weight
of the engine bracket is found.
Design and analysis of Nano-imprinter: Aug ’14 – Dec ‘14
? Model is created using Creo.
? Analysis is performed on the model using Ansys.
? Later on worked on ECN to facilitate manufacturing of the same.
Creation of Manufacturing sequence for a model: Jan ’14 – May ‘14
? Desired model is developed using CREO then, CNC program is created for the model to facilitate manufacturing.
? Appropriate milling machines, tools are selected for the manufacturing.
? Model is being analyzed before creating the CNC program. Tool Used: Ansys
Design and Analysis of a conformal cooling channels for Injection Moulding: Jan’15 – May’15
?Model of conventional and conformal cooling channels are designed in Solidworks.
?Transient thermal analysis is done on the models using Ansys Workbench.
