Human Resources Manager, 2009 to Present

Recruited to help transition from a Professional Employer Organization to an internal HR and payroll department. Worked with senior management to create HR policies and procedures; co-created benefit program; and develop orientation, training and incentive programs. Manage leave-of-absence programs and personnel records; administer benefits enrollment and programs; and handle HR generalist workplace issues for six locations in three states.

Key Results:

®  20% increased efficiency accomplished by streamlining time records to an online timekeeping system. Outcome: Improved/Compliant record keeping and timely processing of payroll records.

®  Played a key role in ensuring the successful launch and staffing of the new Phoenix office. Spearheaded recruitment efforts, interviewing, hiring, benefits packages, and new-employee orientation.

®  Developed a compliant new hire orientation program which simplified the onboarding process and ensured all paperwork is received in a timely manner, equipment is available, and employees are introduced to all departments.

®  $25,000 in 2010 and $15,000 for 2011 in unemployment claims was saved by training and assisting managers in their disciplinary procedures in addition to ensuring proper documentation as well as policy/procedures enforcement.

®  Developed employee manual covering issues including disciplinary procedures, code of conduct, FMLA policy and benefits information.
