RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

M.S. Project

University of California, Riverside                                                                             May 2012

  • Broad scope of the project is to understand anti-viral immunity mechanisms in C. elegans.
  • \\r\\n
  • Identified genes involved in anti-viral immunity by performing a genome-wide RNAi screen.
  • \\r\\n
  • Validated their involvement in immunity using different techniques like RT-qPCR, in situ hybridization.
  • \\r\\n
  • Leading the research towards understanding the mechanism of the two genes by determining the potential pathways they play a role in.
  • \\r\\n
  • Presented results from on going research as a poster at the International C. elegans Meeting, June 2011, UCLA, California.
  • \\r\\n
