Crisis Hot Line Advocate

  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy to victims of domestic and sexual violence and significant others.
  • Facilitate support groups for victims.
  • Assist victims through the injunction process and provide court accompaniment when possible.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of clients served and collect statistics on services provided.  Submit monthly statistics on time. Complete a monthly report to include all program information. 
  • Provide community presentations and professional trainings and plan public awareness events in April and October. 
  • Recruit and coordinate training for volunteers.  Provide supervision and follow-up to volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with law enforcement, victim assistance programs, health care, and social service providers.  Participate in Task Force meetings.
