SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

Fundraising: Secured $17 million dollars for multi-year campaign through effective major gift solicitation, creative sponsorship opportunities, and effective donor relations and cultivation events.

 

Partnership Development and Management: Built strong partnership with leading fortune 500 U.S. headquarters, their international field operations and grant recipients, locally based Asian service organizations, NGOs, and government ministries to establish safe water standards and form a rural safe drinking water network to deliver water to schools in 11 provinces.

 

Resource Development: Played key role in Last Acts Partnership’s growth from $10 million to $15 million during first year of employment, a 50% increase. Growth resulted from revitalizing and expanding major donor program and diversifying revenue streams. Resulting explosion in demand for volunteers and staff: 20% growth in program staff and a 60% increase in volunteer recruitment.

International NGO with worldwide projects addressing poverty; primary school education; child and maternal health; women’s empowerment, economic and civic participation; environmental sustainability; HIV/AIDS and Economic and Community Development

Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships and Program Development

Recruited for new position to develop and executive strategies for private sector revenue generation and program collaborations; new business development opportunities; and design of program/service initiatives. Primary target areas rural India, western China, Sub-Saharan Africa.

  1. Created strategic partnerships resulting in program development, initial financial support of 15 programs
  2. Within six months secured organizational identity in the global arena through my existing philanthropic network, NGOs and relevant U.N. agencies and commissions, and participation in working groups of Clinton Global Initiative and Corporate Council on Africa   
  3. Secured $4 million dollar grant from leading medical device corporation, supplemented by Indian Ministry of Health to train government health workers in 11 Indian states 
  4. Initiated $6 million partnership with PepsiCo, their safe water grant recipients, and government ministers to form safe water network for rural schools
  5. Successful solicitation of Nike, Levi Strauss, the Gap and NoVo Foundations to advance health, economic, education and participatory status of women factory workers in Asia

 

Health Care Fundraising and Program Consultant                               2010-2011    

Collective initiative of U.S. foundations addressing the organ transplant crisis/role of regenerative medicine.

Retained for one year contract to research and produce “state of the art” paper on national/international  organ transplant systems and potential solutions; elicit global researchers and service provider interest; form coalition to increase issue visibility, raise funds “New Organ” research.

  1. Produced superior “white paper” used as informational source by H.H.S., U.S. and internationally based research centers
  2. Team leader of international alliance that secured $10 million dollars to support “New Organ” research project
  3. Secured grants from  national corporations and foundations that fostered 1st time creation of:

a)      Social media networks for unaffiliated, disenfranchised, ineligible transplant candidates

b)      National Patient Registry
