Admissions Coordinator

Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center | Crofton, MD

 

Assisted in all aspects of the admissions process and ensures that all admission documents are presented to the designated unit secretary and prepared and completed in a timely basis.  Provided administrative support to two Nurse Liaisons funneling patients into the facility for sub-acute skilled nursing and/or long-term nursing care. Entered patient data into accounting system and answered questions via telephone calls or in person. Ensured that all paperwork is distributed to appropriate personnel. Greeted incoming patients and their families. Maintained all admission contracts for new patients for business office.

 

Administrative Assistant

July 2002 - March 2010

Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center | Crofton, MD

 

Provided administrative and clerical assistance to the Administrator and Assistant Administrator of the facility. Responsible for accounts payable and partnership accounts.

Was responsible for fielding all calls, scheduling meetings, and typing correspondence for the Administrator and Assistant Administrator. Also entered all accounts payable data into accounting software to ensure the payments were made promptly. Also provided clerical support to all other disciplines within the facility. Responsible for credentialing all physicians and consultants to meet JCAHO requirements.

Acted as receptionist/secretary to family-owned printing business. Entered accounts payable items into Quick Books and wrote up job dockets for incoming assignments.
