EXPERIENCE
October 2004 Legal Advocate/Client Advocate, Mid Shore Council on Family To Present Violence, (Denton, Maryland)
- Provides advocacy services to victims of domestic violence. Conducts intake interviews, develop and initiate non-shelter service plans. One on one education sessions, hotline crisis calls and referrals to community resources maintains detailed case notes, and as needed after hours crisis response intervention.
- Serves as a Legal Advocate by providing supportive services to include: preparing victims for court, accompaniment to court hearings and other related offices. Assistance with understanding legal options during divorce, custody and protective order hearings. Maintains legal files, information and referrals and detailed case notes.
- Maintains data base for statistical reporting to submit monthly and quarterly for the five counties the agency serves.
- Assisted in Community Outreach projects tailored to High School students.
