Human Resources Director

 

Oversaw daily operations of Human Resources Department, supervising a staff of three team members and training management on HR issues such as progressive employee discipline, company policies, and procedures.Served as an active discussion partner for the President and C.E.O and functional business leaders in matters of HR development and employee relations. Developed and updated all Human Resources policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Managerís Guide to Policies and Procedures, and the Recruitment Manual.  Designed, planned, and implemented Human Resources programs and policies, including staffing, compensation, benefits, visa / PERM applicant processing, employee relations, training, and health-and-safety programs.

Developed Human Resources Department from ground up, authoring all operational procedures for a fast-growing mortgage-banking company comprised of 200 employees and 12 branch offices. Evaluated and recommended benefits programs to company principals, serving as administrator of these same benefits. Ensured compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations such as ADA, FMLA, Workersí Compensation, and COBRA. 

 

Assisted in performance review, compensation, and salary-administration questions. Compiled monthly, quarterly, and annual recruiting and Human Resources reports, served as company newsletter editor, and organized employee-appreciation events.
