Camelot was a construction and contracting company with concentration in new builds, redesign and repair of commercial and residential properties. The owner recently closed this company to partner with a solar panel company called Atlantic Solar Systems.

 

OFFICE MANAGER

  • Responsible for all bookkeeping, bank deposits and customer billing. 
  • Scheduled estimates with potential new customers, as well as, meetings with other contractors and laborers. 
  • Performed weekly payroll for staff of 10. 
  • Assisted corporate accountant in the preparation and submission of NYS Disability and Payroll taxes.
  • Coordinated monthly newspaper advertisements and legal notices. 

Tack Development/Smithtown SelfStorage

Tack Development is a local Real Estate company that owns commercial properties and Self-Storage Facilities.

 

FACILITY MANAGER

  • Supervised daily operation of self-storage facility consisting of 647 units and 2 office spaces.
  • Planned and advertised seasonal promotions to attract new customers.
  • Collected and processed all monthly rental receipts.  Maintained customer account records with concentration on delinquent accounts.
  • Evicted customers for non-payment on rent via industry standard policies and procedures.
  • Organized and presided over quarterly Auctions to dispose of confiscated unit contents in an attempt to recover lost revenue.
  • Managed staff of 10, including maintenance workers and 7 day/14 shift desk attendants.
  • Hired outside contractors when necessary to maintain the appearance and functionality of the facility property and buildings, such as;  plumbers, electricians, roofers, pavers and snow removal.

Anadig Corporation                                                                           5/1995 – 1/2000                         

 

Anadig Corporation was a privately owned IT consulting and sales corporation partnering in the sale and support of Cisco, Nortel, BayNetworks and Lucent Technologies equipment.

AR/AP MANAGER and MAINTENANCE CONTRACT SALES REP.

  • Implemented all internal bookkeeping procedures, applied receivables, made bank deposits, generated and mailed customer statements, reviewed customer A/R ledger weekly with President, balanced general ledger monthly with Corporate Accountant, maintained customer collections between 80 – 85% current, assisted Corporate Lawyer with collection litigations.
  • Set up A/P vendor accounts, assigned general ledger account numbers, scheduled vendor bills to be paid, cut checks, reviewed A/P schedule with President on a weekly basis.
  • Researched and negotiated corporate partnerships with Nortel, Lucent, Cisco and BayNetworks.
  • Contacted customers post equipment sales to offer maintenance contracts with a yearly follow-up to purchase additional coverage resulting in a 90% re-sign rate.
  • Assisted President in her personal business affairs.  Reviewed inheritance documents and caught an error made that would have caused her to lose 20% of her family estate.
  • Organized all corporate holiday parties and internal events.  Successfully orchestrated Anadig Corporation’s first Golf Outing hosted for business partners and high-end customers to develop new business and reinforce alliances with the industry’s biggest suppliers.
