men’s apparel for 41 retail stores representing over $100M per year.  Directed and established

quality programs for over 120 sku’s per season for 12 seasonal deliveries.

 

  • Transformed the merchandising division from  100% agent dependent buying organization to 60% direct relationship with global and domestic mills/vendors driving product development process, boosting market intelligence and improving initial mark-up margins (IMU) from 64% to 72%.

 

  • Devised and executed speed to market plan by developing and positioning fabric prior to production, reducing production time line from 134 days to 28 days. Created domestic replenishment program to meet seasonal demand.

 

  • Drove on time delivery from 90% to over 98% by creating Product Lifecycle Management System (PLM) tracking product development from pre production to market reducing air shipments from 78% to less than 1% of production.

 

  • Restructured technical design, sourcing and quality to reducing cost over $ 200K.

Sourcing, Product Development and Merchandising Kenneth Cole Productions and Haggar Casuals                                                                                          $ 500M  wholesale 

Strategically created and executed sourcing and manufacturing plans to transform the Haggar brand to the next level with Comfort Fit Waistband development for new comfort branding image. Developed and sourced private label programs for JC Penney, Kohl’s, Federated, Beall’s, Dillard’s, Costco, Sam’s and international licensee’s.

 

  • Developed and executed new sourcing strategy and suppliers exclusively for Kenneth Cole Reaction label classification woven’s for start up of $17M to over $49M in 2 years for Federated and Kenneth Cole retail operations.

 

  • Opened new low cost value producers in India and China developing long staple wrinkle free NO Iron program for brand and private label customers. Over 1.8 million units start up.

 

  • Developed exclusive components for knit and woven program Q for Life (Quality for Life)longest running branded program for men’s and women’s apparel.

 

  • Created color technology with exclusive rights with mill for nationally advertised Forever New marketing program over $ 38 million initial wholesale rollout at 48% gross margin.

 

PreProduction, Quality Control, Materials Management (Haggar and Private Label)            

Sourced emerging trends in knits and woven fabrics for men’s and women’s apparel for Haggar brand and private label business. Re-engineered area taking it to a WEB PDM defined center.

 

  • Directed testing labs, marking, sample production, product development, patterns and tech design compressing development timeline from 16 weeks to 10 weeks.
  • Directed and certified Asia, India and Middle Eastern mills in start up of strategic sourcing strategy in Asia for Haggar Brand, Claiborne and Kenneth Cole Productions.
  • Created Vendor Performance and re designed testing processes reducing cost $60K.

 

  • Assured all retail private label requirements for JCP, Wal-Mart, Dillard’s, Sports Authority, NFL, Nike and Kohl’s quality, color, fit specs and packaging were met.
