Staff and Student Assistant 2006 - Present University of Missouri–St. Louis, DisAbility Access Services and Student Support Services  Creating an electronic and interactive departmental Policy and Procedure Manual.  Read tests and write lecture notes for students with disabilities. Alumna Chair (2007-08); Chair (2006-07) 2007 - Present Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS), UM–St. Louis, College of Arts and Sciences and Golden Key International Honour Society  Provide proactive support to seventy plus participants, assistance includes but not limited to: monitoring the electronic application process, providing training on MS PowerPoint used for creating their oral and poster presentations, and teaching oral and poster presentation workshops.  Directed poster and oral presentations, twenty-five plus volunteers, and awards ceremony the day of the event.  Procured and managed the fiscal budget, including negotiating with various Colleges and Student Affairs for additional financial contributions.  Partnered with student support departments and faculty to provide abstract, oral, and poster presentation workshops. Student Coordinator and Assistant Art Show Curator 2005 - Present UM–St. Louis Tsunami Reconstruction Project  Founder of “Sponsor a Child” program, implemented to solicit funds from faculty, staff, and students to purchase back-to-school supplies.  Collaborate with varies departments to produce two Art Shows with artwork created by Sri Lankan children.  To date, the Project and Art Shows have contributed over $10,000 toward improving the physical structure of, and social well-being of the students and faculty at, two Sri Lankan schools.  Planned student leader luncheon and campus-wide presentation for the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States (2005). IT Experience Information Technology Coordinator 2001 - 2002 Kobernick-Anchin Pavilion - Sarasota Manatee Jewish Housing Council – Independent and Assisted Living  Managed computer network, which included ordering and installing new and maintaining existing computers and printers.  Provided training on Microsoft Office Suite to employees and residents.  Developed an intranet-based inventory and ordering system for Food Services. Computer Analyst - Data Security Department 1998 - 2001 BJC HealthCare Started as a Kelly Services temporary office support staff member and was hired by BJC as a Computer Analyst within six months.  Administered the multi-departmental annual process of providing 500 new medical residents’ and students’ access to electronic medical records.  Supervised and trained the temp-staff during the annual process.  Worked on the team that provided security access to all BJC system employees and contractors, with access given according to limitations of HIPPA regulations.  Provided training, both over the phone and in person.  Updated and created new data recovery and redundancy procedures.  Provided assistance in writing technical documentation and policy and procedural manual. Administrative Coordinator 2002 - 2003 Kelly Services, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Trauma Services and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)  Gathered data for, and facilitated the, Trauma Center’s ‘Level I’ accreditation process, i.e., ability to continue receiving airlifted patients.  Developed data gathering process for, and reported, Monthly Quality Improvement indicators.  Planned the Missouri/Illinois – Cardinal Glennon and Saint Louis University Trauma & Toxicology Conference.  Managed PICU nursing staff levels. Presentations  “The United States Criminal Justice and Mental Health Systems: Is Macro Social Control Theory an Outdated Approach?” Exit Project presented to Graduate Committee, UM–St. Louis (2007)  “Ripped from the Headlines: Will New U.S. Education Law Handicap the Handicapped?” 2nd place paper presented at Missouri Sociological Association (MSA) Conference, Osage Beach, Missouri 2006 Honors The 2006 Distinguished Student Service Award. Presented annually by the Chancellor’s Office to one UM–St. Louis student.  Nominated for work on the URS and work with students with disabilities.
