Independent Management and Systems Consultant 2001 - present  For an equipment leasing company, designed and developed procedures for tracking leases and creating invoices. Automated invoice creation. Resulted in 50% timesavings monthly.  For a non-profit, developed a database system to manage all mailings and track all fundraising. Loaded financial information and reporting into automated tools.  For a wholesale florist, designed and implemented the credit process, including creating a form for communicating with original vendor and requesting reimbursement for damaged product. Increased return on damages by 150%.  For a retail chain, introduced technology and automation to improve business and management processes. Researched, negotiated and installed new Time Management, Payroll, Accounting, POS and Merchandising systems. Converted type-written invoicing to computer-generated process. Systems and automation eliminated work backlog of over 8 months.  For new computer users, wrote integrated Sales Reporting System, including tracking cashier variances, employee purchases and details of hourly sales information. Consulted on organizational management, HR Policy, hiring and communication effectiveness throughout the organization. Led efforts to hire a CFO and HR Director, IT Director, Store and Warehouse managers. Wrote Job Descriptions and Postings, conducted screenings and interviews and participated in final selection.  Developed nearly 30 database systems using MS-Access to provide sales and performance information, Payroll and associated Management Reporting, Purchase Order tracking and Help Desk Ticketing. Developed 2-page “dashboard” for company executives.  For a non-profit developed an MS-Access system to track client information, program participation and specific data related to individual programs and staffing. iXL, Inc. Provided strategic and technical solutions aligned with corporate objectives. Responsible for translation of client needs into team direction to achieve business objectives. FIDELITY INVESTMENTS, Boston, MA 1992-2000 Vice President, On-Line Brokerage  Created, developed and launched the Mortgage Program, delivering new products to the company and achieving over $100 million in asset retention in the first year. Instituted a strategic alliance between the company and external service provider. Built and managed a cross functional team to create and implement the product, leveraging various business resources from within the company and the partner. Development included all marketing activities, creating and delivering a unique joint training program for over 60 representatives, managing the necessary systems development, initiating appropriate web presence and functionality, along with providing senior business education and obtaining commitment for the program.  Built and managed an organization of over 80 professionals to provide a full range of analytical services for cross-company projects including facilitation, business organizational design, workflow documentation and design, all associated testing activities and user documentation and reference manuals with paper-based and web delivery. Developed annual departmental budgets.  Negotiated contracts and worked with attorneys to develop required legal documentation for new programs.
