• Defending case in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas involving manufacturer whose product allegedly caused injury in medical malpractice action. Case was one of first to assert pre-emption as defense under Federal laws applicable to medical devices.

Worked in all phases of litigation, including pro bono work. Had extensive toxic tort experience, especially regarding asbestos litigation matters. Specialized work included:
• Acting as co-liaison counsel of defendants’ group for discovery matters in major class action case, In re: asbestos litigation, filed in U.S. District Court for Eastern District of PA.
• Acting as national counsel for corporate client, supervised and coordinated conduct of Ohio counsel chosen to defend more than fifty of clients’ asbestos property damage cases.
• Heading team that researched and analyzed client’s production of asbestos products, and scientific basis of client’s formulae for each of its asbestos- manufactured products.
United States Air Force, To Captain FL, NY, West Germany (honorable discharge). Served as Air Weapons Control Officer and Section Chief for Division of Morale, Welfare and Recreation. Awarded (among others) Air Force Commendation Medal and ribbon as “expert” in small arms shooting.

Taught and conducted seminars on various legal topics and cases during legal career. Research assistant for Professor J. Perry providing research for her book to be published concerning Toxic Torts and Product Liability; taught sections on Legal Process; Presented on the topic of John Marshall and the advent of Federalism; researched th c. manuscript relating to the Earl of Leicester’s Welsh Lordship; explained the Rebecca Riots of as a partial requirement for my M.A.; extensive undergraduate research on the Welsh Marcher Lordships.
