Township Manager, London Grove Township, London Grove, PA 2001-2002 Managed all administrative, governmental and regulatory matters applicable to operation of the Township’s governance. Supervised grant submissions. Attorney/Vice President, LeGros Law Partners, Berwyn, PA 1996-2000 Worked in all phases of environmental, transactional, regulatory, compliance and insurance law. Lectured on subject. Managed, as firm officer, some firm business/administrative operations and client relations. Attorney; Cozen & O’Connor, Philadelphia, PA 1989-1996 Practiced all phases of insurance law, including specialized work in coverage, products liability, medical malpractice liability and aviation insurance matters. Developed specialized equine practice. Co-authored published articles on aviation and products liability issues and contributed sections to books on environmental regulatory issues in insurance defense matters. Specialized work included: • Conducting discovery for insurance client as part of co-defendant’s group in NY nuclear reactor accident case to prepare defense. Work included creating new, computerized litigation system to handle voluminous discovery productions. • Researching and writing appellate brief on pre-emption regulations in defense matter. Again, project included creating new, computerized litigation system to handle voluminous discovery productions. • Defending case, with favorable verdict for clients, in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas involving doctors who allegedly committed malpractice in misdiagnosis, mistreatment and spread of carcinogenic disease. • Defending case in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas involving manufacturer whose product allegedly caused injury in medical malpractice action. Case was one of first to assert pre-emption as defense under Federal laws applicable to medical devices. Litigation Associate, Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, Philadelphia, PA 1986-1989 Worked in all phases of litigation, including pro bono work. Had extensive toxic tort experience, especially regarding asbestos litigation matters. Specialized work included: • Acting as co-liaison counsel of defendants’ group for discovery matters in major class action case, In re: asbestos litigation, filed in U.S. District Court for Eastern District of PA. • Acting as national counsel for corporate client, supervised and coordinated conduct of Ohio counsel chosen to defend more than fifty of clients’ asbestos property damage cases. • Heading team that researched and analyzed client’s production of asbestos products, and scientific basis of client’s formulae for each of its asbestos- manufactured products.
