Nejress ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE: Course Projects: Developed a control system for a helicopter and simulated the system using Matlab. Designed a Shift Register using VHDL and Silos. Designed a VLSI chip layout for a Decoder with 6 inputs and 64 outputs using a CMOS transistor technology. Developed algorithm of tumors for Digital Image Processing. Designed, developed, and implemented a 4 bit CPU with 16 instructions. RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: Graduate Teaching Assistant, Department of Mathematics and Department of Electrical Engineering, Prairie View A&M University. 1/ 15/ 2006 – until present Mathematics Department: Tutor students in the following courses Differential Equations, Numerical Methods, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics. Administered and substituted for absent faculty. Electrical Department: Assisted the instructor in the Electrical power Lab and the Electrical Circuit Lab. Lingtech Corporation USA 06/2005 – 12/2005. Data manipulation, data analysis and control using SQL Database, data reporting using Excel. Researcher, Department of Electrical Engineering, Prairie View A&M University (funded by NASA/JSC) Texas. 10/ 1996 - 12/1997 Analyzed and developed data acquisition and processing using fuzzy logic for space lab cabin air loop subsystem which is part of Atmosphere Revitalization System (ARS). The avionic air loop and the transfer tunnel air loop were done by the other team members. Developed membership functions and cases based on the minimum, maximum, and normal operating ranges of the sensors which were derived from the engineering data information gathered from the NASA malfunction procedures handbook and the engineering layout document relevant to the Spacelab cabin air loop subsystem. A total of twenty two cases were created based on the membership functions which were developed from the minimum, maximum, and normal operating ranges of the 18 multi-valued sensors and 25 binary (on/off) indicators such as: cabin (HX) outlet temperature, anticipation temperature, condensate (CNDS) dump nuzzle temperature, fan 1 status, etc. Graduate Teaching Assistant. Designed and tested new lab set up for Digital Circuit Lab. Department of Electrical Engineering, Prairie View A&M University. 1/1995 - 12/1996 Assisted the instructor with the training of students in the Digital Design Lab on logic trainers and grading reports. Taught students to simulate various kinds of circuits using Electronics WorkBench. Assisted students in the computer lab for the C language class. REFERENCES: Available upon request.
