Experience 2002-present Pemberton Township School District, Pemberton, NJ Early Childhood Education Teacher Implementing the High/Scope curriculum in an Abbott preschool inclusion classroom. Responsibilities included overseeing administrative start-up and continuation of programs, personnel management, financial development, and educational program effectiveness:  Hire and evaluate administrative and instructional staff to ensure that high-quality program goals are attained;  Prepare administrative paperwork in compliance with DOE, DHS and BOL requirements, and ensuring compliance with local, state and Abbott regulations;  Conduct workshops that train instructional staff in the effective operation of developmentally appropriate classrooms meeting the Early Childhood Education Program Expectations: Standards of Quality ;  Develop staff and parent handbooks, operations manuals, and curriculum guides based on early literacy in preschool programs  Requisition materials and equipment for centers, review and approve expenditures to maximize service quality and cost-effectiveness; and  Assist in the development of proposals, including preparing budgets for new business opportunities using micro-soft excel. 2000–2001 New Jersey Department of Education, Trenton, NJ Education Program Development Specialist -Office of Early Childhood Education Defined policy, coordinated state-level activities, and performed assigned duties to ensure the implementation of early childhood education programs.  Assisted in the writing of policy and implementation plans for school districts;  Developed, reviewed, and assessed early childhood education plans and curriculums;  Provided technical assistance to field personnel and local districts;  Planned workshops for both Abbott and Non-Abbott Districts; and  Organized the first NJ Early Childhood Education State Conference. 1987–2000 Stepping Stones Preschool Cooperative Lumberton, NJ Director/Head Teacher Collaborated with a Board of Trustees, administering support in the growth and effective operation of a nationally accredited preschool co-op. Created and implemented a developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool children, designed educational policies; public relations, supervised, trained and evaluated staff and family volunteers; developed rosters, budgets, and requisitioned supplies and equipment for the center. 1984–1986 Rainbow of Learning Nursery School, Mt. Holly NJ Director/Teacher Established a home-based nursery school for children, aged 18 months to six years. Designed an innovative program meeting children's individual needs. Developed and coordinated program presentation, including site plan materials for zoning and planning boards in support of the school's expansion. 1978–1982 Little Folk Learning Center Atco, NJ Head Teacher Planned and implemented educational curriculum for children ages 18 months to six years, including economically disadvantaged and special needs children.
