Monitored particulate air emissions of power plant controlled via electrostatic precipitators to insure compliance of municipal electric and water utility pursuant to the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 (CAA). Monitored coal-fired steam turbine-generators equipped with both flue gas desulfurization systems (scrubbers) to control sulfur dioxide (SO²) emissions and with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions pursuant to the CAA. Collected data and prepared reports of air emissions and opacity levels and worked in tandem with engineers to submit quarterly compliance reports to both federal and state Environmental Protection Agencies. Conducted water sampling insuring utility compliance pursuant to the Clean Water Act (CWA). Coordinated efforts for utility to receive over $100,000 in reimbursement funds from the leaking Underground Storage Tanks (UST) program administered through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
