Fulfilled a + hour internship at Penrose – St. Francis Hospital. The internship included the grand opening of a new facility that is a center for over , hospital employees. This internship exceeded hours due to the grand opening of the gym which included working overtime, evenings, and nights many weeks.
Duties included:
•Gave wellness center orientations to new members at all employee wellness sites: Penrose Main, Penrose Community Hospital, and St. Francis wellness centers.
•Conducted wellness center inspections and helped maintain and clean exercise equipment at all gyms.
•Entered and deleted employees from the wellness center.
•Exercised prescriptions/fitness testing with clients.
•Conducted Health Risk Profilers (HRP’s).
•Conducted Blood Pressure tests.
•Attended monthly classes offered by Club HIIP (Health Improvement Incentive Program), completed evaluations from participants, and gave HIIP Credit in databases.
•Used the facilities computer program (EPIC) to make massage schedules. Assisted in massage scheduling and templating.
•Developed statistics for the HIIP program.
•Helped with annual Health Screenings at all three sites of the facility.
