Professional Experience: Employer: VJ Electronics, USA Role: HR Assistant Period: May 2004 – Nov 2005 My responsibilities as a HR assistant in VJ Electronics, a contract electronic manufacturer included: • Working closely with the HR Manager to ensure that the company policies and practices are consistently and fairly administered in the diverse and multicultural organization. • Providing general administrative support to a small yet busy HR department and also carrying out other duties like screening job applicants, scheduling and coordinating interviews, drafting offer letters, facilitating new hire orientation and making travel arrangements. • Advising employees and job applicants on employment related matters, generating confidential data reports, preparing memos, proposals and planning and amending documents. Responsibilities included: • Executing and managing a humanitarian project in which all the general hospitals in Gujarat, India were to receive free medical instruments. • Analyzing hospital conditions and coming up with a report listing the required equipments in each hospital with proper data supporting the need, ensuring smoothness in installation of equipment like MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray by coordinating between the hospital heads and Phillips Project manager • Arranging training of the hospital staff for operation of the newly installed equipment.
