Module: CIS Re-Architecture Duration 01/05 to 05/05 Project Description: Re-Architecture module is focus to remove the Sybase (Middle Tier) from the existing architecture. In existing architecture Power builder connects to Sybase and does the transaction using Sybase stored procedure. In turn most of the Sybase stored procedures calls Cobol RPC, which resides in Mainframe and does transaction with DB2 database. DB2 stored procedures will play a prominent role in the database of Customer Information System. With approximately 1000 Sybase stored procedures and COBOL RPC to be migrated to DB2. Fixes given are in the form of setting up JCL’s by overriding Procs and Job Lib, restarting jobs having restarting capability or stripping erratic accounts from the file or set up erratic accounts in DB2 to be not processed by programs.
