WHAT YOU WILL DO
The role performs comprehensive preoperative, operative, and postoperative tissue recovery duties by preparing supplies and equipment, assessing site suitability, completing donor identification and authorization checks, collecting and labeling samples, assisting with donor physical assessments, and ensuring proper post-operative care and transport preparation. It conducts the full surgical recovery of transplantable tissues, whole organs, and research samples using sterile techniques and may train or precept staff during dissection. After recovery, the role prepares tissues and samples for shipment or storage, manages inventory, maintains clean and organized recovery spaces, and assists with fleet vehicle oversight. Additionally, it supports quality and continuous improvement by contributing to KPI monitoring, audit readiness, Zone Assessment activities, and LEAN initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 1 year tissue recovery, operating room, tech, scrub/surgical tech, EMT, or paramedic, mortician or embalmer, pathology assistant, hospital corpsman, veterinary surgical tech, eye/cornea recovery, tissue processing or 6 months experience at LifeNet Health
- Valid Driver's License
Pay Transparency Statement
The salary range displayed represents the national base salary range for this position and is provided in good faith to support pay transparency. For positions located in designated higher-cost labor markets, a geographic pay adjustment may apply above the posted range for eligible positions according to LifeNet Health's current policy. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as work location, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. Total compensation may also include bonuses, benefits, and other rewards that are not reflected in the posted salary range.
