Position Summary Information
| Job Description Summary: | Work at the Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IIE) where we serve the university to support, encourage, and accelerate innovative thinking and entrepreneurial endeavors. The IIE is looking for team members to support our events, programming, and resources at the IDEA Lab. 3D Printer Manager Maintain the 3D printer, take inventory of supplies and make ordering recommendations. Help fellow students, faculty and staff with the use of the 3D printers. Hold at least two (2) 3D Printer workshops per semester. Must also hold posted office hours for the Villanova community to book equipment time or time for personalized instruction. Maker Space Manager Maintain Glow Forge, take inventory of all supplies in the Maker Space and make ordering recommendations. Help fellow students, faculty and staff with the use of the Glow Forge or any other equipment, supplies or tools in the Maker Space. Make sure that all tools are operational and that there are enough supplies for Maker Space to operate at full capacity and efficiency. Hold at least two (2) Glow Forge workshops per semester. Must also hold posted office hours for the Villanova community to book equipment time or time for personalized instruction. Idea Lab Manager Maintain physical space of the Idea Lab, including but not limited to watering plants, stocking snacks, playing music, cleaning and straightening tables and chairs both inside and outside of the Lab, tracking and ordering supplies, making necessary catering orders for events. Events Manager Responsible for coordinating speaker logistics and for the Innovator’s Supper Club, IIE tabling events across campus, and serve as point person for Idea Challenge and Villanova Student Entrepreneurship Competition (VSEC). Plans team building events, including, but not limited to worker bonding day in the fall, graduation BBQ in the spring. In addition to planning, the Events Manager will actively work at these events. Manager of IIE Events & Programs Promote IIE events and programs ensuring brand-alignment and up to date information. Responsible for at least 1 post per week, mirrored across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Wildcat Newswire/Campus Currents, as well as populating Idea Lab screens and website with corresponding content. Manager of Entrepreneur Stories Promote IIE student entrepreneurs, their ventures, and alumni entrepreneurs. Responsible for at least 1 post per week, mirrored across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Wildcat Newswire/Campus Currents. |
