Site QCM/SSHO
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience performing federal construction jobsite quality control and safety inspections
  • Maintain continuous on-site presence during active construction operations as required by contract.
  • Implement and manage the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP).
  • Conduct the three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up) to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Perform daily quality control inspections and maintain detailed quality control reports and documentation.
  • Enforce safety standards in accordance with OSHA and USACE EM 385-1-1.
  • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and weekly safety stand-downs as required
  • Prepare, review, and enforce Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) for all definable features of work.
  • Review and approve submittals to ensure compliance with contract requirements prior to installation.
  • Coordinate and document inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain and track project documentation including submittals, RFIs, inspection reports, deficiency logs, and as-built drawings.
  • Identify, document, and track deficiencies; ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Stop work when necessary to correct unsafe conditions or non-compliant work.
  • Participate in project meetings including preparatory meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings with government stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure alignment between construction execution, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Ensure all required safety training, certifications, and documentation are current and maintained.
  • Support project startup, mobilization, and closeout activities including final inspections and turnover documentation.
