Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a full-time Vertical Launch System (VLS) Technician II in San Diego, CA.
Summary: Under minimal supervision, the employee provides direct technical support aboard submarines of the U.S. Navy Vertical Launch Systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following:
MK41 Vertical Launching System
MK57 Peripheral Vertical Launching System
Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems.
Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
4+ years of related experience with MK41 and/or MK57
MK41 VLS In-Service Engineering Agent/Field Representative Course of Instruction (MK41 VLS ISEA/FSR) graduate
Advanced knowledge and proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining associated systems.
Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system drawings, and procedural corrective and repair standards.
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to provide technical findings orally and/or written.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $32.30-$39.50 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
ADA Notations:
Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms
Regular Communication (hearing and speaking)
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, handling tools/equipment, and lifting of heavy objects
Ability to go aboard submarines, and other naval craft
Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways onboard ships
Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight
Industrial, shop environment
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States
