Function of Position:

Responsible for assisting geology faculty and current geology students with duties related to Physical Geology labs and other geology labs, as appropriate. This position will constitute a maximum of five hours per week.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Hold one to two hours of open lab time within the Geosciences Resource Room.
• Assist introductory-level geology students during active lab meetings.
• Meet with geology professors to prepare for introductory lab exercises.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of both of Physical Geology (GEO 101) and Historical Geology (GEO 102) with a grade of B or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of advanced geology courses, including GEO 200, 210, and/or 295.
• Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently

Pay Rate: $16/hourly
