Senior Application Programmer
The Senior Application Programmer supports a DHA NMIS contract through SuprTEK, and reports to the Project Manager. This position has flexibility to be hybrid but candidates must reside in the MD, VA, D.C. area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, configure and maintain COTS web-based applications.
  • Integrate and customize COTS web-based applications using JavaScript to meet security, performance, and scalability requirements.
  • Install and configure Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) web servers in DoD/DHA specific environments.
  • Monitor and maintain system health and security, provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution.
  • Work with system owner, COTS vendor, engineers, and security specialists to define scope, requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Develop system documentation in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD/DHA standards.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans for unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
  • Provide Tier 3 HelpDesk support to end-users using ServiceNow.
  • Support efforts for system ATO renewals, IV&V, Risk Assessment and Security reviews.
  • Participate in technical review sessions across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include system requirements review (SRR), integrated baseline review (IBR), technical review (TR), preliminary design review (PDR), critical design review (CDR), test readiness review (TRR) and production readiness review (PRR).
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
  • Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • 10+ years of application programming supporting DoD/DHA for enterprise applications with 5+ years of web applications expertise.
  • 5+ years of deploying, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting web applications in testing and production environments.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD/DHA test and production environments to include architecture redesign, upgrade and maintenance.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft Windows.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting database management systems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • 5+ years of experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) using Microsoft Active Directory.
  • 5+ years of experience in Computrition COTS to include integration, customization and sustainment.
  • Experience working in a small team of IT professional providing services in systems operations, administration, configuration management, enhancements, maintenance, and development.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Apache
  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS); Active
  • Windows and Linux based Application Servers
  • Applications hosted in a virtualized environment
  • ATO, ACAS scans, SCAP scans, DISA STIGs
