Students explore how organizations identify, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships; acquire materials and services at optimal cost and quality; and implement sourcing strategies that ensure a reliable flow of goods. The course emphasizes the impact of procurement decisions on organizational performance, competitiveness, and profitability, while also addressing the legal, ethical, and sustainability considerations that inform effective purchasing practices.

  • Professional experience leading procurement and/or sourcing organizations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills developed in a business or corporate setting

  • Experience interacting with graduate students in an academic or professional training environment

Preferred:

  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level

  • A Graduate degree in Business or Engineering from an AACSB-accredited institution

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver graduate-level instruction on Thursdays, 6:20–9:20 PM, online through the school’s internet teaching platform (ZOOM or TEAMS).

  • Manage course content, assignments, and grades through Canvas (the university’s LMS)

  • Hold office hours (via ZOOM or TEAMS) to support student learning outside the classroom

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback through graded assignments, in-class reviews, and participation

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance

Interested applicants should submit a resume highlighting academic credentials, relevant business expertise, and any prior teaching experience. We welcome applications from experienced professionals who have hands-on experience in purchasing or supply management with a talent for translating complex sourcing strategies into engaging, practical classroom discussions.
