Job Description
Research (Professional)
The laboratory studies musculoskeletal biology and tissue regeneration, focusing on skeletal and muscle stem/progenitor cells (SSCs and MuSCs). Projects aim to understand mechanisms of muscle regeneration, differentiation, aging, and responses to nutrients and supplemental peptides. We use time-lapse imaging, molecular assays, and cell-based analyses to explore population heterogeneity and lineage analysis, in the presence of oxidative stress and factors to mitigate that stress. The researcher will assist ongoing projects involving molecular biology, spatial transcriptomics, and flow cytometry, contributing to experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
- Experience in cell biology, molecular biology or equivalent research experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blotting, RNA/DNA isolation, cloning).
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry and/or spatial transcriptomics, and an understanding of population heterogeneity.
- Experience with primary cell culture or stem/progenitor cells, ideally muscle-related.
- Strong data analysis, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research setting.
