Job Description
The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurobiology (http://www.neurobio.pitt.edu/) is seeking exceptional candidates to develop and grow outstanding research programs specifically focused on the autonomic dysfunction in hypertension and chronic kidney disease. Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD degree and have demonstrated excellence in sympathetic nerve recordings, telemetry assessment of hemodynamics, and autonomic neuroanatomy. Applicants must have at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience. Appointments will be made in the Department of Neurobiology of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (http://www.neurobio.pitt.edu/) at the Research Instructor level, commensurate with qualifications. Salary and start-up package are highly competitive.
Successful applicants will be encouraged to obtain extramural funding, establish a competitive research program, and participate in graduate and medical education.
