Research Assistant Professor
Job Description
IRISE is looking for a Consortium's Outreach Coordinator with the primary purpose of overseeing the organization's scholarship and student engagement activities. The Coordinator will develop and oversee student engagement activities and lead student recruitment for participating in these activities. The student engagement activities will include, but are not limited to, the Student TRIPRO competition held annually through IRISE. Other responsibilities associated with this position include the following IRISE activities: conducting research, providing support and guidance to researchers funded through IRISE, facilitating communication between researchers and the consortium members, and assisting with the review of research problem statements and proposals.
Qualifications of the candidate include a PhD in civil engineering and a minimum of 20 years of experience that includes teaching and research in the area of transportation. The candidate should have previous experience interacting with students as well as public and private transportation agencies.
