We are excited to share a postdoctoral fellowship opportunity in the NIH RO1-funded Ray Laboratory within the Renal-Electrolyte Division at the University of Pittsburgh. We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing research at the intersection of renal physiology, hypertension, and peripartum physiology.
Our laboratory focuses on integrative and mechanistic studies spanning:
• Hypertension and cardiovascular disease
• Renal magnesium handling and electrolyte physiology
• Neonatal and maternal health
• Bone mineral density and systemic mineral metabolism
Approaches in the lab include:
• Mouse models of health and disease
• Cell culture systems
• Transcriptomics and systems biology
• Immunofluorescence microscopy
• Western blotting and molecular assays
• Renal Tubular electrophysiology
• Bone anatomy and Micro-CT
The position is well-suited for individuals interested in developing an independent research trajectory in renal physiology, cardiovascular disease, or reproductive physiology.
Candidates must have a PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
