Postdoctoral Associate in the School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy & Therapeutics, University of Pittsburgh


The School of Pharmacy is recruiting for a Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Postdoctoral Associate position. This 2-year postdoctoral position is a collaboration between the PharmacoAnalytics program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, UPMC Health Plan, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals.


The Postdoctoral Associate will participate in ongoing initiatives that include:
• Building a research foundation through didactic coursework in the online MS in PharmacoAnalytics – Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research

• Conducting health economics and outcomes research that may include developing cost-effectiveness models and analyzing large claims databases or electronic medical records

• Leading projects at The Center for High-Value Healthcare at UPMC Health Plan in the 1st year of the fellowship

• Leading projects at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in the 2nd year of the fellowship


The candidate must have a PharmD. The individual should be highly motivated and willing to work on collaborative research projects. They will be responsible for independently developing, analyzing, and completing HEOR research studies.
