Job Summary

Manages general accounting functions and daily operations to ensure compliance with fiscal policies, procedures, and regulations. Oversees reports and analyses and assists in budgetary functions. Resolves complex accounting inquiries and issues. Coordinates audits and account and database maintenance and establishes internal controls, remediate actions, and operational goals.


Essential Functions

Manages general accounting functions and daily operations; establishes, interprets, and ensures compliance with fiscal policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Oversees the preparation of reports and analyses, including balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, data forecasts, and cash flow data.
• Supervises staff, including hiring, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration; manages work schedules and approves timecards; provides professional development opportunities; distributes and reviews work.
• Serves as liaison between internal and external stakeholders; answers inquiries and resolves complex accounting issues.
• Establishes internal controls, coordinates audits, and initiates corrective actions.
• Coordinates the maintenance of accounts and databases.
• Establishes operational goals; identifies and implements changes to improve operations as well as accounting processes and procedures.
• Assists in the budget planning processes; conducts asset valuations; identifies and forecasts expenditures; analyzes and audits financial transactions.
