We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our optometrists in providing top-quality eye care services. Responsibilities include conducting preliminary eye exams, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-tests and gather patient medical histories
- Assist with visual acuity testing and lensometry
- Perform retinal imaging and other diagnostic tests
- Maintain and clean examination equipment
- Educate patients on contact lens care and eyewear options
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role preferred
- Strong understanding of optometric procedures and equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Certification as an Optometric Technician (COA or COT) is a plus
