Responsibilities

The Staff Surveyor is responsible for overseeing technicians and field crews to successfully complete large-scale land surveying projects on schedule. This role works closely with Project Managers, Project Surveyors, and other teams to coordinate project scope, schedules, and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Surveyors, and other teams to complete projects according to the established scope and schedule
  • Supervise technicians and field crews working on large-scale land surveying projects
  • Serve as a primary client contact and maintain clear communication throughout the project
  • Review, sign, and seal plats, drawings, and other survey deliverables
  • Mentor and train technicians on state surveying requirements, technical standards, and QA/QC procedures
  • Perform additional duties that support the company’s projects and strategic goals

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently execute professional land survey tasks
  • Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale survey projects
  • Strong technical skill set, including AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Professional Land Surveyor License
