POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll Specialist provides support for the accurate and timely processing of timecards/payroll. Duties include data entry, data verification, calculations, report generation and check issuance. The Specialist responds to inquiries and issues from employees and other customers. This position may assistant management with special projects and other duties as assigned.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: N/A
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years payroll processing experience required. Prior Experience working with a payroll computer application required (ADP version 5.0 preferred). Experience working with a time and attendance system required (Kronos version 6.1 preferred). Wage garnishment exposure preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires desk, computer and calculator work a majority of the time. Some standing and walking and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds required. The essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to Payroll Manager.
