Job Description

JAT Energy is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Fuel Delivery Driver to join our growing team. In this position, the driver will operate a fuel tanker truck to safely transport and deliver petroleum products to customer locations. This is a full-time, local driving position offering a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours of pay each workweek and overtime pay for hours worked over eight hours in a workday.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
  • Minimum of 12 months of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience preferred
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) under company standards
  • Ability to meet all applicable DOT qualification requirements, including required drug and alcohol testing and medical certification
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to use computers, tablets, or handheld devices for electronic logging, dispatch communication, and delivery documentation
  • Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, customer service, and teamwork

Essential Job Functions

  • Safely operate fuel tanker trucks to transport and deliver fuel to customer locations
  • Load and unload fuel accurately, confirming the correct product type, quantity, and delivery location
  • Complete all required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Follow all company safety policies and hazardous-material transportation procedures
  • Maintain accurate electronic and written records, including driver logs, delivery documentation, inspection reports, and vehicle maintenance records
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, customers, and other team members regarding routes, schedules, delays, and delivery status
  • Promptly report mechanical problems, accidents, incidents, spills, injuries, traffic violations, and other safety concerns
  • Perform routine vehicle checks, including monitoring tire pressure and fluid levels
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in a safe, clean, and professional condition
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Physical and Environmental Requirements

The following requirements are representative of those necessary to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to repetitively pull up to 100 pounds for approximately 100–150 feet
  • Ability to perform frequent and repetitive hand and arm movements while operating vehicles, hoses, equipment, and controls
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work 10- to 12-hour shifts within a 14-hour workday, as operationally necessary and permitted by applicable regulations
  • Ability to safely enter and exit vehicles multiple times throughout the workday
  • Ability to access, connect, operate, and secure fuel-delivery equipment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather, temperature, traffic, and environmental conditions

Compensation and Schedule

  • Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours of pay per workweek, provided the employee remains available for work and reports for all scheduled shifts
  • Overtime paid at one and one-half times the employee's regular hourly rate for hours worked over eight hours in a workday
