ASSISTANT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COORDINATOR (LCMHC, LCSW) POSITION SUMMARYThe Associate Behavioral Health Coordinator is responsible in aiding the BH Coordinator with the development, implementation, clinical and/or administrative supervision, and monitoring of a Behavioral Health delivery system meeting NCCHC/ACA standards. The Associate Behavioral Health Coordinator aids in the work with the regional Manager, Site Administrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist to coordinate total contract services. The Associate Behavioral Health Coordinator will be involved in working with all disciplines to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population. ASSISTANT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COORDINATOR (LCMHC, LCSW) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in psychology or related field from an accredited college or university. Licensed (or license eligible with application pending) to practice psychology or social work in the state where services are being delivered (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent). Satisfactory background investigation report. Extensive experience in behavioral health services, training, and supervision. Must possess strong clinical leadership and interpersonal skills within the correctional environment. Must possess familiarity with regional BH resources and networks. Must possess solid grasp of VitalCore Policies and Form
- Collaborates with the Coordinator in supervising and planning the development and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.Collaborates with the Coordinator in providing clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services. Collaborates with the Coordinator in monitoring the efforts of behavioral health services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner. Performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate Performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health unit of a correctional facility. Participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff. Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs/projects. May direct special projects as requested. Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records, and reports. Attends training and meetings as required. Assists in coordinating the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.
