  • Attend various community resource connections, and acquiring knowledge about usable resources for clients to use. As needed research, other forms of resources for clients.
  • Home visits (case management) with clients to discuss service plans, go over resources, and discuss contingency plans for when they are no longer in the program.
  • Give out applications to possible clients, and when they are finished look over to make sure filled out entirely. Assess application by researching clients on various legal websites, and printing any pertinent documents.

  • Complete budget for clients as needed, making suggestions on ways to revise budget.

  • Go over what to say and do by peer role playing hot line calls, to get cleared to work the hotline, by learning what to say to a teen who calls in on pregnancy, sexuality, abuse, runaway, and suicide,
  • Work on fund raising activities such as putting together packets for fundraiser, mailings, and work at fundraisers.
  • Work on community resources for teens such as going to websites and reading about places to help teens, research on various websites, and enter into helpline database.

  • Watch webinars on Facebook and Websites for Non-profits.
  • Revise resource worksheet to match information needed on the helpline database.

  • Mailed recruiting letter to CCSD retired teachers looking for tutors.
  • For families as needed used the community resource of Angel Food Ministries for food boxes.      
  • Researched through the Department of Labor the different resources and classes, for clients waiting for their GED scores. Found resources for students to use for extra help in GED practice, extra help in spelling, and resume templates.
  • Utilized local business by acquiring raffle prizes for the Even Start Family Literacy Benefit.
  • The clients would learn interview skills, resume building, and other information pertaining to getting a job through the Workforce Development Mobile Learning Laboratory (Career Bus) coming to the school.
  • Worked with students on their resumes by holding a resume workshop
