The Engineering Services Group, Design Section, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position is located at our Los Angeles Headquarters, conveniently located next to Union Station. This position will be responsible for the direction of a small group of electrical engineers and designers in the preparation and review of designs, plans, specifications, reports, schedules and cost estimates for complex projects for Metropolitan’s conveyance, treatment, storage and distribution systems. The work requires a high level of technical expertise in electrical engineering and exercise independent judgment.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience, of which two years must have been at the Associate Engineer level; OR Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience, of which two years must have been at the Associate Engineer level.


Relevant Experience is defined as: acting as design manager for multiple discipline projects and/or act as an electrical lead for large complex projects (multiple discipline projects).

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s):

  • Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
  • License in good standing as a California Professional Engineer (required at time of application).
