In this role, you will have the responsibility for providing technical assistance and support to the Maximo support staff and Fleet Coordinator in managing Maximo or other information systems used to manage fleet assets. You will also provide support and assistance with updates and management of asset data, locations, custodians, as well as maintenance/operational data in Maximo, Oracle, or another electronic system with fleet information. This position will have the opportunity to assist with conducting studies, and analyses, and may make recommendations to managers in developing Fleet related job plans based on manufacturing recommendations, repair trends, or recurring problems. May assist with analyzing and recommend to Fleet Managers to identify patterns and chronic maintenance problems; may assist Fleet Managers in querying and obtaining information in Maximo, Oracle or another related database; assist with compiling and providing managers and other groups reports to help the Fleet Services Unit with their regulatory inspections, repair/cost report for Risk Management, and regulatory information such as smog tests due.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency, and two years of accredited college or university in engineering and four years of relevant experience, two years of which must have been at the Engineering Technician I level.

Relevant Experience is defined as: experience with the use of computerized maintenance management systems (database management) and software, and/or fuel management software and/or knowledge and/or experience with facility and equipment maintenance.

Examples of college or university course work in Engineering include: Engineering, Environmental, Science, Math and etc.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
