JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and coordinating human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, benefits, training and development, and employee services by communication, administration, and management of policies and programs within the organization. The HRM will be a strategic business partner to all Corporate Departments to help achieve the Company’s overall business plan, under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide human resources support and consultation to corporate leadership by counseling on strategic staffing plans, organizational structure, performance management, employee relations, leave management and educate/advise on HR policies, guidelines, laws, practices.
  • Effectively develop, implement and manage human resource-related initiatives that support HP Hood’s strategic operational goals while ensuring company initiatives/programs are aligned with corporate personnel.
  • Provide leadership for positive Employee Relations by overseeing communications and committees.
  • Manage and develop Onboarding Program to include orientation and 30/60/90 day check-ins. Additionally, responsible for the management of the termination/off-boarding process.
  • Responsible for communicating, implementing and monitoring corporate affirmative action programs.
  • Manage the Company’s pre-employment service to include vendor management and compliance of company processes.
  • Conduct in depth, fact finding investigations, analyze data and recommend course of action to ensure compliance with HP Hood policies and standards.
  • Responsible for Leave Management Process.
  • Supports corporate recruiting.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect and enhance continued improvements in efficiency of department, this including developing and delivering presentations to corporate business partners.
  • Coordinates internal/external training/educational activities for Corporate Departments. Assists with the development of training curriculum and facilitate as needed.
  • Responsible for time-keeping in Kronos for non-exempt employees.
  • Provides back-up to the Corporate Headquarters Reception Team.
  • Handle other responsibilities/projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 5+ years of experience in Training, Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Organizational Development.
  • Supervision or Management experience, manufacturing familiarity preferred.
  • Experience supporting remote or multi-location personnel highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
