This position will assist in coordinating, researching, analyzing, and recommending water operations and resource management through various reports, projects, and studies. You will assist in overall operational planning and system optimization. This includes water demand forecasting, data management, water distribution system modeling and analysis, development and implementation of water resource management and operating strategies, monitoring and analysis of water supply and operations. This position will also assist with member agency liaison responsibilities in the following areas: water program implementation and administration; operational and water resource coordination; providing customer service to member agencies; and shutdown program coordination.

You will work independently and/or with existing teams; you will communicate clearly and consistently, both verbally and in writing; and be proficient using MS Office applications and analysis tools.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience, of which two years must have been at the Assistant Engineer I level.

Relevant experience is defined as: experience in any of the following: within the water/wastewater field, groundwater basin management, water resources; experience with short and long-term planning related to water demand forecasting and facility shutdown coordination; data management and analysis; experience with hydraulic or distribution system modeling.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Employees in this position may be required to obtain and maintain the following certifications, licensing and registrations:

License

• Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
