As the Records Analyst on the Records Management Team you will be assigned to a specific group or groups to help maintain program consistency, increase operational efficiency, and be the single point of contact for non-records management personnel. You will: be a records management subject matter expert; update group file plans as necessary; conduct records research; conduct training; maintain group compliance; provide feedback for process improvement; provide feedback for records policies and procedures; and be the point of contact for records management projects.

Your knowledge and experience with records management policies, procedures, and projects will be of great value as you help the Records Management Team improve its programs within Metropolitan. Customer service, organization, proactivity, and problem solving will also be critical in this role.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years relevant experience; or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years relevant experience; or four years as a MWD Administrative Assistant III.

Relevant Experience is defined as: (1) at least two years of working experience performing records management functions on behalf of a team or organization such as conversion of paper records to electronic; ensuring financial, legal, or administrative requirements of records are in compliance; classifying and indexing records; and destroying and/or archiving data. (2) work experience performing administrative functions

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
