DIRECTOR, CLINICAL SUPPORT SERVICES

INTRODUCTION:
The Ohio Hospital Association was established in 1915 as the nation’s first state-level hospital association. OHA represents 245 hospitals and 15 health systems throughout Ohio. OHA exists to collaborate with member hospitals and health systems to ensure a healthy Ohio.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position works in the Member Services Department. The Director, Clinical Support Services will meet the qualifications listed below and be primarily responsible for providing
strategic clinical support to member services, programs, and events. Other responsibilities are defined below. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Operations and Chief Clinical Officer.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Duties:
• Provides oversight for professional continuing education design and provider units
• Participates in Emergency Preparedness activities
• Establishes and fosters partnerships with key stakeholders, locally, regionally, and nationally
• Supports and contributes to pertinent forums (Clinical Advisory Committee, Institute for Health Care Innovation, and Physician Leadership Forum)
• Facilitates virtual statewide collaboratives
• Manages grants compliance
• Provides oversight of fee-for-service programs
• Collaborates with legal counsel for contract/agreement negotiation and management
• Attends appropriate member services events
• Provides management support for assigned employees

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in nursing or health-related field preferred
• Previous managerial experience
• Advanced skills in Microsoft office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Ability to operate hardware and software for effective member programming (Zoom video, Microsoft Teams meetings, conference calling)
• Project management skills
• Negotiation skills
• Professional writing skills and critical thinking capability
• Meeting management
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Team player with passion for professional growth
• Time management skills with ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize assignments in order to meet prescribed deadlines
• Skill at collaborating on projects with OHA colleagues in all departments as well as with external partners
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage members
