This is a part-time Student Intern position receiving training and mentoring in an assigned area of responsibility performing assignments that serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure within the Jensen Water Treatment Plant.
This Student Intern will assist with calculations, field measurements and investigations, preparation of small projects scope, assisting with coordination of vendor and visitor plant access, utilizing internal filing system to find relevant as-built and project drawings, provide support to plant engineer for various assignments and Capital Investment Program projects, become familiar with SCADA and download and interpret data, monitor construction activities, document field conditions, prepare reports, attend project related meetings, and perform other related Student Intern duties as required. Student Intern should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and be able to work with Adobe Reader.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university carrying a minimum of 12 semester units or 8 quarter units with junior or senior standing in a related major and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or current enrollment in an accredited graduate degree program in a related major with a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
Related major is defined as: Engineering (civil, construction, environmental, chemical or mechanical).
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
