As the Information Technology Support Analyst II, you will be a member of the IT Service Desk Team. This position will be responsible for timely and effective closure of hardware and software issues through Incidents and Requests received on first contact with customers who need technical assistance via phone. Provides IT support to resolve, research and troubleshoot escalated issues from first level and escalates complex and/or high priority problems to appropriate personnel or support groups for resolution.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience; or two years as a MWD Information Technology Support Analyst I in the same discipline.

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is defined as: any computer science or information technology degree.

Relevant experience is defined as: Helpdesk experience in troubleshooting hardware, software and networking technologies through phone with a remote connection and escalating incidents and requests using an IT Ticketing system.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Employees in this position may be required to obtain and maintain the following certifications, licensing and registrations:

Licenses
• Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
